Fire explorers started off in 1981 by the boy scouts. Fire Service Explorer posts help youth gain insight into a variety of programs that offer hands-on career activities.  Fire explorers are young adults aged 14-21 interested in the Fire and Emergency medical community.  Exploring offers experiential learning with lots of fun-filled, hands-on activities that promote the growth and development of adolescent youth. At our post we have a ride along program available, in which after an explorer passes a certain amount of tests and has been given enough training, will be able to experience first hand the fire rescue service. We have both male and female explorers at our post who currently ride on fire apparatus and enjoy it.  Visit our photo page to see them in action.
