We would like to welcome you to the Photography Explorer Post 9999 Home Page.
We are a part of the Greater St. Louis Area Council, B.S.A. and chartered
to the Kiwanis Club of St. Peters, Missouri. Exploring is a division of the Boy Scouts
but it is for co-ed youth ages 14 to 21 years old. This is the time period that most
young adults are looking for a time to be with friends and also possible career
choices for later in life. Our post was started about 8 years ago with the intension
of promoting photography as a hobby and a career. The post teaches these through
the use of outings, lectures, projects, and field trips around the St. Louis area.
We do not try to teach photography as in a classroom setting but we try to get
youth involved though hands on experiences.
