How do I sign up to go to Swift?

Red Line

We hope that you have found the information here informative and
exciting. We also hope that you now want to experience Swift first
hand. To go to Swift there are a few things that you will need to make
sure that you have planned out. Here is what you will need to do:

1. Find a week that you and your post would like to go to Swift. Make
sure that it is not already full. (click here to see if there are openings).

2. Once you find a week that will work you will need to make sure
that you have enough adult leadership. This may not seem like a big
deal now but once camp time comes vacation time is limited so plan
early. You must have 2 adult leaders (one male/one female if co-ed
group) that must stay the entire week. You may rotate leaders as long
as you have 2 leaders in camp at any one time. You may wish to share
leadership with another post if you are having trouble getting enough
leaders that are over the age of 21.

3. You will then need to contact the Greater St. Louis Area Council's
Camping Department. This is where you will make your reservations and
pay your deposit to reserve space for your group at camp. They will tell
you how much of a deposit you must send in to reserve your space. They
will also tell you how much you will still owe. Once that is done you are
on your way to camp.

4. Make sure that before you show up to camp you will need to have a
medical exam ready for each person who is planning to participate in any
or all activities. You will also need to make sure that you have your reciept
showing that you have paid for your group to come to camp. You will also
need to come to camp ready to have some fun!
