This session provides Explorers an opportunity to look at a daily schedule from a “typical” young adult and evaluate it in terms of how well daily goals were met
VETERINARY MEDICINE: TECHNICIAN (RVT, AHT)
This session provides participants with an understanding of veterinary technicians and their role in supporting veterinarians in all career fields in providing service of medical/surgical care to animals. The veterinary technician is the “nurse” of veterinary medicine.
TIME MANAGEMENT
In this session, Explorers will analyze their use of time after tracking their activities for three days.
THE GLOBAL WORKPLACE
In this session, participants will learn about the global workplace, including the growth of international trade and commerce, the increased use of technology, the employment of Americans in the United States by foreign-owned companies, and the consignment by American companies of work done out of the country.
SURGERY/PERI-OPERATIVE
This session provides participants with an overview of surgery and how it fits into the overall health care profession. The session also provides an opportunity to review various surgical specialties.
SPECIAL EDUCATION
This session will provide participants an understanding about being a special education teacher and the unique environment in which special education teachers work.
RESPECT
In this session, participants will use a biography of civil rights worker Rosa Parks to explore the importance of respect.
RADIOLOGY
This session provides participants with an understanding of radiology and how it fits into the overall health care profession.
