This session will present an overview of the project management discipline and will allow Explorers to participate in a project management case study.

PROJECT LEARNING TREE | REDUCE UTILITY COSTS WITH iTREE

Thanks to a collaboration with Project Learning Tree Explorers will use i-Tree Design – an online tool by the US Forest Service – to determine where to plant trees for maximum energy savings.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR EDUCATORS

This session focuses on reviewing professional development opportunities for teachers and planning a post trip to a professional organization meeting.

PRICING

In this session, participants will learn about pricing. Pricing involves more than just putting a sticker or tag on an item. It entails determining the point at which both buyer and seller perceive the best value.

PREPARING FOR CAREER EXPLORATION

This session is designed to help Explorers identify personal dispositions that may influence the type of career they may wish to pursue.

PREFLIGHTING AN AIRCRAFT

This session gives Explorers hands-on practice in conducting the preflight inspection of an aircraft.

PLANNING INSTRUCTION

This session introduces key considerations of planning instruction for young adults interested in careers in education.

PHYSICAL THERAPY/OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

This session provides participants with an understanding of physical and occupational therapy and how they fit into the overall health care profession. Both occupational and physical therapy and their similarities and differences will be discussed.

PHARMACY

This session provides participants with an understanding of pharmacy and how it fits into the overall health care profession.

PERSONALITY PLUS

Participants will take a simple personality assessment and gain insights into what the assessment may reveal about their comfort zone and preferences in a variety of areas.
